September Net Worth Review

Friday, October 06, 2006

My 401(k) is improving nicely. My total credit line increased by $2000 in September (check my Credit Limit Goal at the top right of the page) with the addition of a HSBC Household Bank Mastercard. I already borrowed $995 from them at 0% apr for 12 months which is now sitting in my Emigrant Direct earning 5.05% apr. I'm really proud of myself for getting back an insufficent funds charge from my brick and mortar bank. There is a slight anomaly though. I have about an extra $1200 sitting in my checking account. And I have no clue why it's there.

yeah, that is the sort of thing that I would be happy about but also nervous.. what did I forget to pay? ;)
I suspect that this money is mine to keep. I probably forgot to take a few paychecks into consideration. But believe me, too much money scares me as well.
Extra money is not an anomaly :) save it :) Like Kira mentions above, cross-check if you have made all required payments.
